March 7, 2009   Washington Bus Trip

To the National Air and Space Museum, Washington D.C.
Leaves GAAM at 8:30 am.  Approximately 41/2 hours at the Air & Space Museum followed by a two hour Dinner stop at Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Cost $45 per person (Dinner not included)
Dinner reservations for Phillips Seafood Buffet (optional): Adults $35, children 6-10 $16.  Payment due with bus trip reservation.
Reservations and payment required by March 1, 2009.

 

April 25, 2009   Membership and Tour Guide Meeting

Museum members and volunteers are welcome to attend.
1 pm in the museum workshop.

 

May 2, 2009   Museum Opens for the 2009 Season

Tour hours: Friday and Saturday 10 am. to 4 pm., Sunday 11 am. to 4 pm.
Open other hours and year round by appointment.

May 23, 2009   Sunset Flights 

Evening fly-by demonstration flights of the museum aircraft.
Every fourth Saturday at 6 pm. (except during special events, no rain date).
Members free. Non-members $5 adults. Children age 6 to12 -$3, Age 5 and under free.

June 13, 2009   Golden Age "Flying Circus" Air Show (1)
(Rain Date: June 14, 2009)

For the First time in June!   Take a Step back in time to the days of the barnstormer and the flying circus. Experience an authentic 1920's air show. 

Barnstorming Aerobatics and much, much, more!
All welcome.
Members $5, Non-Members $7, Children age 6 to 12 -$4, Age 5 and under free.

Airfield closed to fly-in traffic, except for aircraft with prior reservations. Contact the museum for a reservation, a limited number are available.
Gates open at 10am for Airplane rides.
Show starts at 2pm.  Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long.

Flying Circus Report:  Beautiful weather. July 11 & 12, 2009   "Wings & Wheels Extravaganza"    Fly-In, Vintage Automobile Show, & Big Band Swing Dance

Bring your antique, classic or unusual aircraft, automobile, or motorcycle for public display.

People's Choice Awards for best aircraft & automobile or motorcycle.
Breakfast, lunch and refreshments available.
Performance by the Hill-to-Hill Brass Quintet, Saturday at 10:30 am to noon.
Camping for museum members, show participants, and transient aircraft. 
Camping fee for entire weekend: $10 per site or tie down. (fee goes to Saturday evening entertainment).
Early bird camping and registration Friday afternoon, July 11.
Saturday evening dinner in the pavilion.
Big band Swing Dance featuring the Lebanon Big Swing band. Bring your dancing shoes and a lawn chair and join us for the fun.   Saturday evening 7:30 to 9.
Aviation & Automobile Flea-Market spaces available (Vintage parts & memorabilia only, limited number of spaces) Contact us for details.
Registration & admission fee of $6 for automobiles 1946 to 1977 ( no newer cars please, registration fee covers passenger as well). Pre 1946 vehicles free.
General Public Admission: Members free. Non-members $6 adults. Children age 6 to12 -$4, Age 5 and under free.
For safety, all flying ends at dusk!
Overnight aircraft must be tied down ... bring your own tie-downs.
All pilots & display vehicle drivers please register upon arrival.
No Fuel Available.

Featuring model aircraft designs dating from the Pioneer Era through the year 1941.
